"Palmieri" sounds somewhat Italian.

I already claim Arturo O'Farill as Irish. ;-)

Palmieri doesn't "sound" Italian; it IS an Italian name, and a very common one at that. What's your point? Surely you know that there are millions of people of Italian descent in Latin/South America, far more than there are here in the USA! Eddie Palmieri was born in NTC to Puerto Rican parents, father of Italian descent. He is the greatest living salsa pianist, a true legend! I'm thankful to have seen him live many times, and he never disappoints!
