MULTI-GRAMMY NOMINEE BOBBY SANABRIA & ASCENSIÓNPERFORM FREE CONCERT AT CARDINAL HAYES HIGH SCHOOL
Drummer, percussionist, composer, arranger, educator, filmmaker, bandleader, 5x Grammy nominee and Cardinal Hayes alumni Bobby Sanabria returns to his alma mater to perform with his critically acclaimed nonet Ascensión in the school's newly renovated auditorium.
Sanabria will perform with his critically lauded nonet Ascensión, which features some of NYC's finest jazz musicians. The ensembles ability to make stop on a dime changes, incorporate electronic elements, free jazz, folklore from Latin America, authentic dance styles, liturgical music, and also play in the traditional straight ahead swing context embodies its Pan Latino World Jazz concept and has been its hallmark since its very beginning.
